A pair of handmade fused dichroic and streaky glass cufflinks in shades of blue.
Dichroic glass is created by vaporising ultra-thin layers of different metals or oxides by an electron beam in a vacuum chamber. As the vapour condenses on the surface of the glass different colours may be obtained.
The technique was developed by NASA for use in the space industry, before its possibilities for use in art glass were realised.
This set of cufflinks teams blue dichroic glass in the middle with more subtle streaky glass on the outer stripes.
The cufflinks have a standard fitting, come in a gift box and are handmade by Stained Glass by James.
